Golden Apple Tree
This tree in the center of Tsar Alexander’s [[Tsar Alexander’s Palace | garden]] is ancient beyond all memory, though it is young and narrow and straight as if it were still very young. Its branches and leaves form a pleasant rounded shape. The aesthetic perfection of this tree lends an almost supernatural serenity to the entire garden, of which it is the centerpiece.
Suspended from the tree are a number of eternally ripe golden apples. Recently, some of the apples have gone missing.
